Collective Solidarity Statement from Former Members

Written by:

We’re happy to publish a statement of mutual support by former Red Guards/CR-CPUSA members and fellow travelers, as well as messages they’ve sent in. We’re continuing to add signatures as they’re forwarded to us, so if you would like to contribute, please click here.

We, the undersigned former members of the organization known as “Red Guards”/”CR-CPUSA” and others who fell within its sphere of influence, want to express our continued love, support, and gratitude for those who have chosen to share their stories and speak out against the abuse perpetrated and protected by the organization and its leaders.

We firmly condemn the abusive leaders of that defunct organization, especially Jared “Dallas” Roark, and any future organizations they attempt to lead. They have proven, despite their revolutionary rhetoric, to uphold purely reactionary politics. We further condemn how even after years of criticism and the collapse of their project, they have shown no self-reflection or remorse for the broken lives and sabotaged organizing left in their wake, but have continued to try and recruit more followers.

We’re signing on to this statement to show our persisting solidarity, that we stand together not alone, and to urge others to join us in isolating and expelling these abusers and their supporters from organizing spaces.

For a revolutionary movement that fights oppression, exploitation, and abuse — including within its own ranks.
